CPO: Pool & Spa Operator Training & Exam
Through the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA, formerly NSPF), Chadwell University is an approved provider of the CPO certification. This 2-day course covers filtration systems, chemistry and calculations, water sanitation, maintenance, State & Federal regulations, liability and risk management, and more.
Prepare for Your Class
Optional Study Prior to Class:
- PHTA’s Pool Math Workbook may help some students prepare for the CPO class. This $20 workbook can be ordered prior to your class from www.nspf.org.
- If you would like to access a digital version of the full CPO Handbook to review prior to the class, please email learn@chadwellsupply.com (There will be a $70 non-refundable fee charged if the class is canceled after digital materials are requested.)
Please Bring to Class:
Attendees should bring a photo ID, #2 Pencil, Highlighter, Calculator. If you are currently CPO Certified, please bring your license.

After Your Class
Your CPO exam can be graded by your instructor before you leave at the end of the class. Your official CPO license will be sent from the PHTA to the home address provided on your answer sheet. Certificates may take several weeks to arrive.
Replacement License
If you have a lost or damaged CPO license, please email PHTA or call (719) 540-9119 for a replacement.
Class Registration
- To register for a class hosted by a local Apartment Association, please follow the link provided to register with the Association.
- Customers using a third-party ordering system like OPS or Yardi will need to register here using the red "Register Now" button.
- To register for a class hosted by Chadwell University, please click the red Registration button.
To charge registration fees to your Chadwell Supply Account, please sign in first (or register to access your online account).
